A fishing village of the Recôncavo, between creeks, on the shore of the Baía de Todos os Santos and surrounded by Atlantic Forest. The Chapel of Senhor Bom Jesus dos Pobres was raised on February 25, 1652 by Father Francisco de Araújo, on lands of the old Fazenda Saubara donated to the Santa Casa de Misericórdia of Salvador in 1650. During the War of Independence (1822–1823) the point and the beaches served as trenches to watch over the mouth of the bay. In 1887 the village lived by mariscagem, fishing from canoes and saveiros, manioc plots and flour houses, with the decline of the neighboring sugar mills as its backdrop.

An annotated aerial photo became a world

The author marked the streets, the square, the pier and the church by hand. The drawing went into Google Earth, came out as a KML with 26 features and entered Godot as a walkable world.
  • 12 points, 8 streets, 2 rivers and 3 areas in the KML.Roads and landmarks keep the positions drawn from the real place.
  • The seabed follows the Brazilian Navy's nautical chart 1108, in 10-meter cells. The bay’s depth guides the underwater terrain.
  • 3,117 trees planted with a fixed seed, 1887.The same seed keeps the forest layout consistent in every game.
